Tropic Air announces New Non-Stop Service between Belize City and San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Tropic Air announced today that it will be inaugurating three times weekly non-stop Cessna Caravan service between Belize City International Airport and San Pedro Sula, Honduras, on March 12th, 2012. With the launching of this service and the opening of its new station there, Tropic Air will be the only airline to operate non-stop flights between the two countries.
This service is a direct response to requests from its valued customers, and carries through on the airline’s stated commitment to the people of Belize. It will not only serve to make travel between Belize and Honduras easier, but will allow for the expansion of trade and tourism between the two countries.
“When we launched Guatemala City last year, we also promised that we would keep growing domestically and internationally. This fullfills that promise, and there is even more to come. San Pedro Sula (SAP) is an integral part of the growth strategy for Tropic Air and as such we feel it important that we link the growing economies of Central America with Belize” said John Greif III, President of Tropic Air. “We are continuously seeking new and innovative routes that promote tourism, business, travel and cargo within Belize and in the region. from a friend....
I did that route a few years back in my old adventure days on something that looked like a twin engine school bus with wings and a rear cargo hatch. We entered through a side hatch that had spider cracks emanating from around the frame and inside there was more duct tape than you could shake a stick at. We never did gain a whole lot of altitude(wasn't going to ask the only pilot why), but we were distracted by the beauty below. We flew over lots of coastline, Roatan(that might have been a landmark for no GPS )and then turned west and then along the S coast of Bze. You see the mountains to the West, we could go from side to side as the plane maybe had 30 seats and only about 10 on the flight.

#Post430479

Monster humorous synopsis.....I BELIZE IN MIRACLES, YOU SEXY THINGA small propeller plane flies in over scenic waterfalls and ruins in Belize, and then Ben is touting the virtues of the island lifestyle in Ambergris Caye, as if what he's experiencing filming a television show where he's stringing along six women has anything to do with real life. He says it's crazy to think he's a week away from meeting some of these women's families. And now the women are flying in, and Nicki gets the eye-rolling job of telling us, as we are told at the beginning of the show each week from Week 2 on in, that this is the most crucial week they've had so far.All the women by this point are complaining about having to share Ben with other women, to which I'd like to point out that a) it's interesting that this becomes a bigger issue as the show moves along, when there are actually fewer and fewer women making out with him, so just health-wise, things are less risky than they've ever been, and b) YEAH THAT'S THE POINT OF THE SHOW.Harrison shows up and says a bunch of stuff about what kinds of dates are going on. I wasn't really listening. I think it's three one-on-ones, and the one orgy? Lindzi gets the first one-on-one date and now Nicki is crying, like shut up, Nicki's tear ducts, and she says it's because things are really real right now. The card says something about how "Two halves make a whole" so maybe it has something to do with Lindzi's and Ben's brains.#Post430479

What You NEED To See Tonight

What You NEED To See Tonight

What You NEED To See Tonight
The Bachelor on ABC at 8pm EST. NOW WAIT! Before you click off this post, give me one moment to explain why you should watch it. I know all the reasons why you don't want to...it's mindless drivel, it's totally phony, it's the worst way in the world to find romance, Ben the current bachelor is not only ugly but drippy and annoying. And you are right about all of that. We all know that they are not going to find real love. How can you with 3 cameras and 5 producers surrounding you at all times? In fact, out of the 22 seasons of this show (YES! It has been on for 10 years now), only one "winning" couple actually wed. Not exactly a surefire formula.BUT THIS EPISODE IS FILMED IN BELIZE. ENTIRELY IN BELIZE. AND MOSTLY ON AMBERGRIS CAYE AND CAYE CAULKER (our baby sister island). Sorry for the shouting. Take a look at some of the locations and tune in tonight. Even if you have to watch the show on mute.
Most of these pictures are not the finest quality. They are actual screen shots taken from the show and give you a taste of what tonight's show is all about.

A little romance on top of a Mayan pyramid?

Jumping out of a helicopter into the Blue Hole?
And even a late night party at the Lazy Lizard in Caye Caulker with lots of locals. If you haven't read about the date that I witnessed, check out: Scooparazzi.
OMG...IT IS GOING TO BE TOTALLY AWESOME.And to all you nay-sayers out there: If it is your first and only viewing, you will probably be wondering...who is craziest? The bachelor, his cuckoo Barbie-like fem-bots or you, for actually watching the show? But, I promise, you will have to admit by the end...Belize looks amazing. They will show only the very best scenery. And tens of millions of people worldwide watch this show whether you like it or not.So, if you watch tonight's show and haven't visited Belize, those trips and parties that the Bachelor is attending aren't special just for a television show. You can go snorkeling, lobster hunting, diving, swimming with sharks, you can dance to local music, you can explore the Mayan Ruins...all by just visiting. They are things that happen every day. And Belize is only a few hours from Houston or Miami. You'd better Belize it.Come visit!Become a fan of SanPedroScoop.com on Facebook for daily updates on what's happening on Ambergris Caye and all of Belize. And enjoy the show!

It is clear that good food, great music and community involvement are all part of the new owners of Legends Burger House agenda. I had the chance to meet Kevin and Spencer for an Arnold Palmer Monday afternoon and learn about more about the new family that has taken over the business that Jules and Tyler successfully built.

Ambergris Today Dorian's Angels Dorian's Angels at Legends Burger House
The challenger must eat all of this in its entirety within 30 minutes in order to have their picture placed on the Wall of Fame and the meal is free. Currently, nobody has completed the King Kong Challenge and neither could we – and it was two of us taking on that monster. Needless to say it was delicious. A delectable experience we have been talking about all week at the office and we certainly recommend it to everyone.
The current champion for the first version of the King Kong Burger (which has now been retired) is Wade the Gringo with the last bite clocking in at 24 minutes and 17 seconds. All challengers who fail to complete the challenge will have their picture placed on the Wall of Shame, located in the restroom hallway.
